The property features a comprehensive practice facility, including a 300+ yard range, target greens, yardage markers, a real grass green for chipping and putting, and an artificial putting green and a sand bunker so campers can work on all aspects of the game. Under the guidance of CaliGolf Instruction coaches, juniors will have the opportunity to learn new golf skills in a fun and supportive environment. The CaliGolf Instruction staff is one with a passion for teaching and coaching, especially with junior golfers! Their experience and love for the game is one that cannot be matched!

Camp Highlights:

Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)

Mike Maggs, Camp Director

Mike is Owner and Director of Instruction for CaliGolf Instruction. A disciple of Jim McLean’s, Mike previously served as an Instructor at the PGA West Golf Academy and Jim McLean Golf School, both at PGA West La Quinta Resort and Spa. He also owned and operated the Maggs Golf Academy at the Golf Club at Terra Lago in Indio before partnering with Devan Bonebrake at the Southern California Golf Academy in 2017 and was cofounder of Studio golf Club in 2021. Mike has now move on and become the proud owner of CaliGolf Instruction here in Carlsbad Ca and a 2024 Golf Digest Best in State Golf Coach CA. Mike his proficient in a number of cutting-edge golf technologies ...More, including TrackMan. Mike believes the student needs to understand themselves and their swing, commit completely to the solution and enjoy THE PROCESS of getting better. If these ingredients are in place, anyone with the proper guidance can reach their golfing goals whether that is Playing professionally, lowering their handicap and just have a ton of fun on the golf course.

Baze Allen, Lead Instructor

Baze is a highly skilled golf instructor who found his calling in an unconventional way. After an honorable stint in the Marine Corps, Baze faced the challenge of reintegrating into civilian life. His search for purpose led him to golf, a game he quickly fell in love with and decided to turn into a career. His professional journey took him to Carlsbad, California, where he attended the Golf Academy of America. Although the academy closed during his enrollment, Baze saw this as an opportunity rather than a setback. He took a part-time role at the Carlsbad Golf Center, learning the ropes from some of the most seasoned professionals in the industry. Today, Baze holds multiple certifications, including David Leadbetter Level ...More 2 and David Leadbetter Kids. He is also fitting-certified by leading golf brands such as TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, and many others. Baze’s passion for golf isn’t merely a personal obsession; it’s a transformative experience he wishes to share. His teaching philosophy extends beyond the technicalities of the game. Baze aims to help others find a similar sense of purpose and centeredness that he found, underscoring golf’s broader life lessons. With his unique background, hands-on experience, and a multitude of certifications, Baze isn’t just another golf instructor; he is a mentor who uses the game of golf as a vehicle for positive change.

Travis Boerner, PGA - Lead Instructor

Travis Boerner is a dedicated instructor at CaliGolf, bringing over 25 years of experience and a deep love for the game. A PGA of America member since 2021, he has spent over a decade coaching golfers of all skill levels, helping them navigate the challenges and joys that make golf so rewarding. His career includes time at prestigious locations like Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club and The Kingdom, where he honed his skills as both an instructor and a Master Fitter. Travis’s expertise in both club tting and coaching allows him to provide a truly personalized approach to instruction. He focuses on making improvements specic to each golfer’s needs while ensuring the game remains fun and engaging. Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
