The Summit Club in Armonk, NY
Recently renovated by world-renowned architect Rees Jones, The Summit Club is the site of golf history stretching back three generations.
Originally designed by Albert Zikouras, The Summit Club golf course has been the integral part of a private club for almost 60 years. Now, with the able assistance of world-renowned Rees Jones, Inc., the golf course has received a thorough redesign which has elevated the golf experience to a whole new level. The Rees Jones included the following components: renovation of all bunkers, the creation of 3 new holes, reshaping of several fairways, many new tee boxes, renovation and conversion of all greens to bent grass, the take down of trees, a new range with targets and a short game area, irrigation upgrades and much, much more.
The end result is a visually stunning par 71, 6,700 yard golf course with dramatic elevation changes and long distance views of the Westchester countryside. The redesign of The Summit Club achieves the goal of being challenging for the better players and a fair test for the average golfer. Nature and golf truly co-exist among 156 acres of picturesque woodlands conveniently located in the heart of Armonk, NY.
