Established in 1999. Sorrento Canyon Golf Center is built on the site of a one-time horse ranch. Reflecting the rustic heritage, the facility retains majestic coastal oaks and sycamores in a wildlife preserve like atmosphere. Sorrento Canyon is a great place to practice golf with 37 lighted mats, 4000 square foot putting green and an 18 Hole "Links" mini golf on real bent grass, not carpet! Its the perfect place for junior golfers to learn and hone golf skills.

Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Robert Strowman, PGA - Camp Co-Director
Robert Strowman’s teaching philosophy is building sound fundamentals to achieve results while having fun. Bob was elected to the PGA in 2008 and has over 17 years of teaching experience with juniors and adults. He has developed programs for juniors at all levels with over 10 years of experience running junior camps and coaching PGA Junior League. He personally studied under Manuel de la Torre, a PGA Hall of Fame Member. Prior to coming to Sorrento Canyon Golf Course, he was Director of Instruction at Morgan Run Resort and Club as well as Head Golf Pro at St Mark Golf Club. Jacob Williams, PGA Associate-Camp Co-Director
Jacob Williams, co-director, has 10 years of junior golf instruction experience and is excited to work with PGA member Robert Strowman, who has mentored Jacob throughout his PGA journey. Jacob uses an analytical approach to golf instruction & his goal is to use data and innovative processes to help kids learn in a fun and efficient way. Jacob is passionate about the game of golf and the growth of the kids not only in their golf skills but in their character as well. Jacob is a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters San Diego charity and currently has been on the golf committee for 4 consecutive years.
