Established in 1999. Sorrento Canyon Golf Center is built on the site of a one-time horse ranch. Reflecting the rustic heritage, the facility retains majestic coastal oaks and sycamores in a wildlife preserve like atmosphere. Sorrento Canyon is a great place to practice golf with 37 lighted mats, 4000 square foot putting green and an 18 Hole "Links" mini golf on real bent grass, not carpet! Its the perfect place for junior golfers to learn and hone golf skills.

Camp Highlights:

Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.

Robert Strowman, PGA - Camp Co-Director

Robert Strowman’s teaching philosophy is building sound fundamentals to achieve results while having fun. Bob was elected to the PGA in 2008 and has over 17 years of teaching experience with juniors and adults. He has developed programs for juniors at all levels with over 10 years of experience running junior camps and coaching PGA Junior League. He personally studied under Manuel de la Torre, a PGA Hall of Fame Member. Prior to coming to Sorrento Canyon Golf Course, he was Director of Instruction at Morgan Run Resort and Club as well as Head Golf Pro at St Mark Golf Club. Golf has been his passion for many years as a coach and as a player who has won ...More multiple PGA Section events. He continues to study the swing and incorporate new technology and the latest techniques to gain a greater understanding of how people learn the great game of golf.

Jacob Williams, PGA Associate-Camp Co-Director

Jacob Williams, co-director, has 10 years of junior golf instruction experience and is excited to work with PGA member Robert Strowman, who has mentored Jacob throughout his PGA journey. Jacob uses an analytical approach to golf instruction & his goal is to use data and innovative processes to help kids learn in a fun and efficient way. Jacob is passionate about the game of golf and the growth of the kids not only in their golf skills but in their character as well. Jacob is a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters San Diego charity and currently has been on the golf committee for 4 consecutive years. Outside of being a golf instructor, Jacob works mostly on the golf business ...More side. Currently, his main role is helping hundreds of golf operations across the world with their technology-- with clients such as the Ritz Carlton, Marriott Golf, Torrey Pines, Mission Bay, Balboa Park as well as The Century Club who runs the PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines (Farmer's insurance open).

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Pending Payment

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Pending Membership Status

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Maximum Possible Purchase Price

Because you have selected a program with limited availability, or one that requires a skill assessment, an actual total cannot be calculated at this time. The maximum Possible Purchase Price assumes that you are registered for the listings (whether 1st or 2nd choice) with the greatest purchase price.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
