Youth participation is a priority at Plum Creek Golf Club where the staff is dedicated to providing a positive, wholesome, and fun environment.
Plum Creek's unique Pete Dye design was specially designed with varying degrees of difficulty so the whole family could enjoy the game. This Par 72 layout features strategically placed bunkers, undulating greens and multiple water features and is a perfect example of modern golf architecture. Junior golfers will enjoy learning at Plum Creek's expansive, multi-disciplinary practice area where they can boom drivers, work on the sand game, chip, lob wedges and putt until they drop!

Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf's fundamentals while having fun!
Full Day Camps provide an opportunity for intermediate to advanced junior golfers to continue to improve their skills as well as develop better course management expertise. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. Following lunch, campers head to the course for supervised play emphasizing course management, shot selection and rules.

Scott Barla, PGA - Camp Director
As a golf instructor since his graduation from the Professional Golf Management Program at Ferris State University, Scott is an active member of the golf community. He attained his PGA Class “A” status in 1996. Scott’s past experiences as a golf instructor include teaching with a nationally recognized inner city youth program in Detroit and other PGA of America adult teaching initiatives. Scott taught at Skokie Park District premier outdoor double decker range, the East Bank Club in downtown Chicago, as well as Weber Park Par Three. Scott is a former IPGA Board and Committee Member.
