Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club is a great place for junior golfers to learn the game!
Along with a beautifully maintained 18-hole golf course, Plantation Lakes Golf & Country Club features a dedicated short game area, driving range and practice putting green. Plantation Lakes has some of the truest putting surfaces around and is quickly becoming one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences on the Eastern Shore. With their extensive practice facilities, junior golfers will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of the game. The team at Plantation Lakes is looking forward to helping young golfers build their confidence and golf skills, all while having fun!
Everything you need to know about camp
Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

John Wallace, PGA - Camp Director
John joined the Plantation Lakes team in 2021. Born and raised in Southern California, he began his career as PGA First Assistant at Rancho Manana Golf Resort in Cave Creek, Arizona, where he founded his first junior golf organization. A few years later he headed back to California where, for the next 25 years, he was PGA Head Professional at Murrieta Valley Golf Range. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Management and Human Resources at Cal Poly Pomona. He founded, owned and operated Murrieta Valley Junior Golf Academy which still thrives today helping more than 300 junior golfers a month find their passion for the game.
