Junior golfers can now enjoy expert golf instruction at a family-friendly South Florida facility - Newell Golf at Park Ridge Golf Course.
One of the most unique golf courses in South Florida, Park Ridge Golf Course offers elevation changes like no where else in the area. Built by Palm Beach County and the Solid Waste Authority on a retired landfill, Park Ridge tops 85 feet at its highest point. The property also features a practice facility, which includes a driving range and multiple practice greens so juniors can work on all aspects of the game.
Newell Golf's mission is to provide all students world class golf instruction that gives them the opportunity to reach their full potential while developing a passion and love of the game. The team truly enjoys helping junior golfers learn new skills in a fun, engaging and supportive environment!
Everything you need to know about camp
Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Full Day Camps provide an opportunity for intermediate to advanced junior golfers to continue to improve their technical skills as well as develop an understanding of course management, shot selection, rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age to create a favorable learning environment for all. Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced.

Zach Newell, PGA Associate - Co-Camp Director
Zachary Newell’s journey in the golf industry began at the Misquamicut Golf Course, where he worked as a greenskeeper. During his time there, he gained invaluable knowledge about the maintenance and agronomy of a golf course. The Misquamicut Club, known as one of the most prestigious private courses in the country, provided the perfect environment for Zach to develop a deep understanding of golf course management.
Zach’s passion for golf flourished as he competed at the varsity level, finding a love for both coaching and playing. His dedication to the sport led him to Johnson and Wales University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Sports Management and Golf Management.
