Young golfers will enjoy the extensive practice facility at Heron Lakes including an all-grass range with 25 tees, an expansive putting green, and a dedicated chipping green with practice bunker.
Heron Lakes Golf Club is located just minutes north of downtown Portland and features two championship courses: the Great Blue Course and the Greenback Course. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., each distinctive golf course offers players unique and thrilling challenges. The Great Blue Course was rated 4 Stars by Golf Digest's 'Best Places to Play' for 2008/2009. Heron Lakes was also Reader's Choice Top 50 Public Golf courses by GolfWorld Magazine.
PGA Camps are also being held at Colwood Golf Center.

Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

Jason is the Director of Instruction at Heron Lakes Golf Club and starting his 25th year at Heron Lakes with 15 years of teaching. Jason is extremely proud of the relationships he has forged over the years. Originally from New York, Jason was introduced the game at very young age by his father and grandfather. He has competed and won as both a high-level amateur and a professional and knows what it takes to help golfers take their game to the next level. Whether you are just being introduced to the game or training for tournament play, Jason can help you achieve your golfing goals.
