Juniors will find an ideal place to learn at Governors Towne. Its large elevated teeing areas as well as its putting and bunkered chipping greens provide practice for the long and short game. Variety is the strength of the golf course as its playability is intended to appeal to golfers of all skill levels and ages.

Camp Highlights:
- Action-packed camps, which include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA of America Golf Professionals and/or LPGA Teaching Professions.
- Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
- A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
- Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.
Full Day Camps provide an opportunity for intermediate to advanced junior golfers to continue to improve their technical skills as well as develop an understanding of course management, shot selection, rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age to create a favorable learning environment. In the afternoon, campers head to the course for supervised play which allows students to apply techniques they learned on the range to the course. Lunch is included unless otherwise noted. Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced.

Matthew Cooke, PGA - Camp Director
Originally from Great Britain, Matthew now resides in Georgia and is Director of Instruction at the Nithena Golf Academy. Matthew entered the golf coaching industry at the age of 16 graduating with a National Diploma in Sports performance at Myerscough College, Preston. At the age of 23 Matthew graduated with a Foundation Degree in Professional Golf at the University of Birmingham (GB), and completed his PGA certification at The Belfry (GB).
Throughout his golf coaching career, Matthew has assisted in the coaching of many Professional Golfers such as: Gary Day, Stuart Appleby, Ben Mason, and Kiran Matharu.
Matthew serves on advisory boards for multiple junior organizations, academies, and coaching institutes, has written 4 workbooks, and published the Expert Golfer. He ...More
