Designed by Donald Ross, the Poland Spring Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 71, championship layout with a slope of 125 measuring 6,178 yards. Enjoy velvet bent grass greens, well maintained fairways, and tees for all abilities. The course also features a Driving Range and Practice Putting Green, making it the perfect place for junior golfers to learn and hone golf skills.

Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals including posture, grip, putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and simple rules and etiquette. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment. Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate.

John King Golf brings measurable assessments and individualized practice plans to improve players skills associated with lower scores. John is the Head Golf Professional at Poland Spring Resort in Poland, Maine. As the Head Golf Professional, John coaches players of all levels in private, semi-private, clinic and golf school settings. A native of Portland, Maine, John has a teaching resume boasting high-end resorts and private country clubs, which span the East Coast from Maine to Florida. From 2005 to 2014, John was the Director of Instruction at Saugahatchee Country Club, during his time at SCC John was recognized by the Dixie Section PGA as the Teacher of the Year and Junior Golf Leader in the Alabama Chapter. John was also ...More named as a top teacher in the state by being awarded #3 Top Teacher in the State of Alabama by Golf Digest. John is a Level 2 Certified Plane Truth Golf instructor that constantly strives to become a valuable, more educated professional that enjoys being part of a players improvement. John’s primary focus while working with players is to produce a correct and repeatable impact through correctly diagnosing the primary faults of each player and by offering recommendations evolving from impact and ball flight analysis. John ensures player improvement while continuing to work within the player’s experience and capabilities.
