The indoor golf experience at Barla Golf Academy is a new, fun and digital way for juniors to develop a passion for the game. Under the direction of PGA professional Coach Barla, campers will learn the fundamentals of the game including full swing, chipping, putting, and rules and etiquette in an engaging, high tech simulator environment. Services include Cutting-Edge Training/Practice Simulators, Foresight Sports GCQuad Launch Monitor, and Smart2Move Dual Force Plates. This unique camp includes game-based activities and drills, plus on course play at some of the top courses in the world...rain or shine!

Camp Highlights:

Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.
Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).

Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)

Scott Barla, PGA - Camp Director

Scott Barla, a PGA Professional, loves all aspects of golf and is passionate about coaching golf which is why he founded Barla Golf Academy. Bringing over 30 years of experience, Scott is a graduate of the Ferris State Professional Golf Management program and he attained his Class “A” PGA Member status in 1996.

Rachel Johnson, Camp Co-Director

Rachel started golfing at the age of 5 and entered her first competitive tournament at age 8. She was an active member of the Indiana Junior Golf Association and was named Indiana Girls Player of the Year in 2011 and 2012. Rachel played high school golf at Yorktown High School, winning the 2012 IHSAA State Championship. She went on to play college golf at Chicago State and Missouri State University. Her team at Missouri State won the Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 2017 and 2018 and moved on to the NCAA regional. In 2018 Rachel won the Missouri Valley Conference individually. Since graduating in 2019, Rachel has won 3 events, had over 15 top 10 finishes, and had the honor ...More of MVC Golfer of the week 5 times. She is currently playing in the Women’s All Pros Tour which is the first step on the road to the LPGA!

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Pending Payment

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Pending Membership Status

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Maximum Possible Purchase Price

Because you have selected a program with limited availability, or one that requires a skill assessment, an actual total cannot be calculated at this time. The maximum Possible Purchase Price assumes that you are registered for the listings (whether 1st or 2nd choice) with the greatest purchase price.

You will receive one or more receipts which reflect the actual total for all charges. You will receive this within 48 hours unless one of your activities or camps is still pending a skill assessment.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

Refund Protection

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
