Description

Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.
Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)

Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!

Instructor

Zach Newell, PGA Associate - Co-Camp Director

Zachary Newell’s journey in the golf industry began at the Misquamicut Golf Course, where he worked as a greenskeeper. During his time there, he gained invaluable knowledge about the maintenance and agronomy of a golf course. The Misquamicut Club, known as one of the most prestigious private courses in the country, provided the perfect environment for Zach to develop a deep understanding of golf course management.
Zach’s passion for golf flourished as he competed at the varsity level, finding a love for both coaching and playing. His dedication to the sport led him to Johnson and Wales University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Sports Management and Golf Management.
While in college ...More, Zach honed his skills in club and tournament management through an internship at Crandon Golf Course in Key Biscayne. His second internship with the Crandon Golf Academy proved pivotal, as it set the stage for his career as a teaching professional. In 2014, Zach secured a full-time position with the Academy, where he discovered his true calling as a golf instructor.
After nine years at the Crandon Golf Academy, Zach moved to Boca Raton, Florida, bringing his expertise to a new venture. In 2022, he launched Newell Golf at the Boca Raton Golf & Racquet Club. The school offers state-of-the-art technology and practice facilities, enabling juniors to elevate their game. Under Zach’s leadership, the once-private course transformed into a vibrant public facility, offering programs for juniors, veterans, and adults.
Zachary Newell now serves as the owner and Director of Instruction at Newell Golf School. His commitment to excellence continued to be recognized in 2024 when he received his second Top 50 US Kids Golf Coach Award. His dedication to growing the game and developing new talent has made a lasting impact on the golf community in Boca Raton and beyond.

Newell Golf at Park Ridge Golf Course

One of the most unique golf courses in South Florida, Park Ridge Golf Course offers elevation changes like no where else in the area. Built by Palm Beach County and the Solid Waste Authority on a retired landfill, Park Ridge tops 85 feet at its highest point. The property also features a practice facility, which includes a driving range and multiple practice greens so juniors can work on all aspects of the game. Newell Golf's mission is to provide all students world class golf instruction that gives them the opportunity to reach their full potential while developing a passion and love of the game. The team truly enjoys helping junior golfers learn new skills in a fun, engaging and supportive environment!

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.
