Eligibility for Competitive Edge Camps
- Must be currently playing competitive golf (i.e. participate on the high school team, junior tournaments, or other similar competition platforms)

Sam Giallombardo, PGA Associate - Camp Director
Sam is a PGA Associate and is the Lead Coach at the Keith Hills Academy. He runs a year round program that focuses on mastering the fundamentals of the game and progressing juniors using the Operation 36 program. Sam provides private instruction to passionate players who are focused on improving and seeing measurable results. Sam is a veteran of the United States Navy and has chosen to dedicate his time, efforts and energy to coaching junior golfers. He has a passion for inspiring and motivating players to work harder and reach higher through the game of golf. Over the years at Keith Hills, Sam has helped numerous families enjoy this wonderful game through summer camps and the year round Academy.
Competitive Edge Day Camp at Keith Hills Golf Club
Keith Hills Golf Club is the home of Campbell University’s golf course, giving daily enjoyment and challenge to golfers at the next level. Keith Hills has earned prestigious distinctions, described by prestigious industry publication Golf Digest as a “Four Star Award” and “one of the top 100 values in the country.” With 27 holes on the property, campers will have the ability to test their game thoroughly.
The practice facility gives campers an opportunity to work on and improve their entire game. At 32 acres dedicated to just practice, the grounds are expansive and perfect to dedicating time to improve. There are four practice bunkers, two pitching greens, four putting greens for the short game. There are three acres of tee space for longer shots on the range.
Technology will be used during the Competitive Edge Day Camps to help campers understand their game thoroughly. Trackman is used at Keith Hills to show the cause and effect of swing patterns, tendencies, and more. With that data, the coach and student develop a plan to improve and are held accountable each shot to make sure progress is happening. 4D Motion is a revolutionary wireless 3D Full Body and Club Motion Capture system that is available, provides 3D visualization of setup and swing, data, graphs and even an overlay comparison of swings. There is also Blast Golf for further improvement in putting. It captures data throughout the stroke to help advance improvement and making more putts.
