Description

Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!

Joe Fritz, PGA - Camp Director
Joe Fritz is the Assistant Director of Golf at Salt Creek Golf Club and 390 Golf Experience, facilities of the Wood Dale Park District. Growing up in Naperville and playing all day in his backyard as a youth, Joe has been heavily involved in the game his entire life and has been in the golf industry for 12 years. He’s gained experience all over the country, with time spent in Illinois, Florida, Wyoming, and California. He earned his PGA membership in February of 2020 and is working toward becoming a Specialized PGA Professional in Teaching & Coaching, Level 1 Certified SAM Putting Instructor, Level 1 TPI Certification, and Speed Toad Certified Coach. Salt Creek Golf Club and 390 Golf Experience is the perfect setting for young golfers to learn and improve. The practice facility offers a multi-level driving range with Toptracer technology, which supplies valuable insight like distance, speed, and location as the ball is hit. In addition, there is a short game practice area with a putting green, so campers have the ability to work on all aspects of the game. Junior golfers are bound to not only learn new skills, but also have a great time while doing so! The coaching staff is looking forward to helping grow your child’s interest and love for the sport!
