Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!

Richie Doino, PGA - Camp Director
Richie has been a PGA Member for 27 years and has served as a Head Golf Professional for the past 20. Over the last two decades, he has enjoyed instructing players of all skill levels, gaining a wealth of teaching experience and a deep understanding of what works best for each individual golfer. Richie knows that golf can be a challenging game, and he makes it his mission to ensure juniors have fun while learning the sport. His approachable teaching style, patience, and enthusiasm create a positive learning environment where young golfers can build confidence and develop their skills. Richie looks forward to welcoming campers of all levels this summer at Sunken Meadow!
Sunken Meadow Golf Course
Sunken Meadow features multiple layouts, where the first two courses were built in 1962, followed by the Blue Course in 1964. This facility features 27 holes of golf arranged as three distinct nine-hole courses that can be combined into multiple 18-hole experiences, making every round fresh and enjoyable. Designed by acclaimed architect Alfred Tull, the Red, Green, and Blue nines weave through natural landscapes with generous fairways and moderate challenges that appeal to golfers of all skill levels. In addition to the beautiful woodland setting, Sunken Meadow's driving range offers expansive panoramic views of the Long Island Sound.
