Marcus Hunt, PGA - Camp Director

Marcus Hunt oversees The Sea Pines Resort’s Junior Programs and his primary focus is guiding junior golfers to achieve their goals in the game of golf. He aims to provide students with an overall experience that will continue to fuel their passion for the game of golf. His ability to harness his competitive experience and incorporate the latest teaching technologies brings students full circle to improve their on-course play. He creates a positive learning environment that boosts confidence in each student to improve their game and lower scores. As a former collegiate golfer at The University of Findlay (Ohio) he was an accomplished player. He captured two individual medalist titles and was a multiple all-conference and all- region selection ...More. After a successful college career Marcus turned professional and competed in numerous tournaments ranging from events such as Swingthought.com Tour events, Web.com Monday Qualifiers and PGA Tour Canada Q-School. Marcus’s competitive experience through all levels (Junior-to-College/Amateur-to-Professional) will give students the insight of what is necessary to progress towards whatever goal the student is aiming towards.

<p>The Sea Pines Resort is a legendary golf experience. The world-class Sea Pines Resort features the highly acclaimed Heron Point by Pete Dye and the all-new Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III golf courses. Atlantic Dunes is a complete reconstruction of The Sea Pines Resort’s historic Ocean Course, the first course built on Hilton Head. Featuring a pronounced seaside ambience and low-country feel, it incorporates elements of the surrounding beachfront along with the area’s bounty of native pines and oaks lining the fairways. Designed by legendary course architect Pete Dye, Heron Point’s recent modifications made the course more player-friendly, and the resulted in an award-winning stroke of genius. One of Golf Digest’s “Best Places to Play” and South Carolina’s 2015 Golf Course of the Year, this cohabitation of beauty and beast (at times) is poised for even more acclaim. <p> Competitive Edge Campers will benefit from the The Sea Pines Golf Learning Performance Center, located at the Plantation Golf Club at Heron Point. The program’s mission is to assist the long-term development and enjoyment of the game by creating a mindset of continuous improvement through preparation, competition, and life-long learning. The experienced team of instructors will use the latest technology including TrackMan Pro, SAM PuttLab, K-Vest and V1 Pro Software to build an individual plan of improvement for each student, and focus on areas that the individual needs to improve their golf game. Performers who seek out and embrace purposeful challenges place no limit on their potential. <p> While attending camp, campers will stay at the premier Hilton Head Island Villas on-site award winning villas where they will enjoy amenities commensurate with those one would expect from a high-end golf destination. With around the clock adult supervision, parents can be assured that campers will be properly taken care of.

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.
