This isn't just any Golf Camp, it's the PGA Junior Golf Camp. Learn why the PGA instruction is best in class.
The PGA Junior Golf Camp students will enjoy playing The Fairways Golf Course, one of the top courses in the Spokane region. The 18-hole course features an intriguing mix of challenging holes that offer subtle undulations and elevation changes as it meanders through a series of natural wetlands and native grasses. Your junior golfer is sure to see results with The Fairways complete practice facility – all while having a great time!
We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best.
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!
Full Day Camps provide an opportunity for junior golfers to continue to improve their skills as well as develop better course management expertise. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. Following lunch, campers head to the course for supervised play emphasizing course management, shot selection and rules.
To be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. Our promise–is to support, encourage, and respect each and every one of our campers and authentically inspire them to reach their full potential, both on and off the golf course.
A Cheney native and member of the 1993 and 1994 Eastern Washington University Golf Team, PGA Professional Kris Kallem has been teaching golf at the Fairways for the past 24 years. Over that time he has worked with 1000’s of students of every skill level, served as Director of Instruction for the EWU Junior Golf Camps, conducted 100’s of instructional clinics, taught golf in area schools, and still has found the time to compete in regional professional events.
Kris does not believe in a one size fits all method. His objective is to take each student and help them realize their own most balanced and athletic swing motion and learn how to repeat it. Known for his short game, he also specializes in helping people lower their scores through better putting and chipping. In his off-time, Kris doubles as General Manager of the Fairways Golf Course, is co-host of FCS Nation Radio Show and FCS Wedge Podcast, follows EWU athletics, and enjoys fly fishing on area lakes and streams.
