Description

Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.
Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)

Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!

Instructor

Mike Bicker, PGA, Camp Director

Mike Bicker has been a PGA Professional for over 35 years. Prior to joining the Sun Hills Golf Club as Head Professional in 2015, Mike was the Head Golf Professional at Lakeside Golf Course for 23 years. While at Lakeside, he ran a large junior program with over 300 juniors including the only program in the area exclusively for girls. Mike has won numerous awards in the Utah Section PGA including Professional of the Year, Junior Golf Leader Award (twice), Horton Smith Award for Education and the Bill Strausbaugh award for Club Relations. He has been the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Director (7 years) and a Utah Junior Golf Association Board Member for 5 years. Mike is excited to work ...More with the professionals at PGA Junior Golf Camps to create an outstanding junior program at Sun Hills Golf Course. The student to teacher ratio of 6:1 is a huge positive for this program over other programs in the area. The juniors will receive a lot of one on one time with the instructor.

Sun Hills Golf Course

Sun Hills Golf Course is a challenging and fun 18-hole course featuring four different tee boxes juniors of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy. Designed by Bruce Summerhayes and built in 1995, Sun Hills Golf Course is a Links style course constructed around the rolling hills in East Layton and designed to utilize the natural outlay of the land. Keeping true to its setting, Sun Hills Golf Course is home to various wild animals, native plants and our local resident - The FOX. The practice area consists of three practice greens, a full length grass tee driving range, practice bunker and much more, making it the perfect place to learn and hone new golf skills.

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

Refund Protection

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
