Description

Action-packed camps include hands-on instruction led by certified PGA Professionals.
Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities).
A fun, safe and educational environment designed with your child's well being in mind.
Low student to instructor ratio (approximately 6:1)

Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!

Instructor

Mike Mendelson, PGA - Camp Director

Mike is a native of Colorado and has been in the golf business since 1995. He started playing golf as a sophomore in High School where he was "bitten by the golf bug." As a shy 16-year old, he was attracted to the social aspects of the game as well and golf helped him become more outgoing. Mike started working at Lincoln Park Golf Course then after three years he moved to Bookcliff Country Club where he discovered a love for teaching.  After graduating Cum Laude from Mesa State College, Mike pursued a golf career and passed his players ability test in 2001. Michael became the assistant golf professional shortly thereafter and received the Assistant Golf Professional of the year ...More in 2001 for the West Chapter of the Colorado Section. In 2004, he became Head Golf Professional at BCC.  Mike acheived his PGA Golf Membership in February of 2008 and became the Director of Golf for the City of Grand Junction, Colorado.  Mike was recognized in 2011 as the Colorado Section PGA West Chapter Junior Golf Leader of the Year and in 2013 as the Colorado Section PGA West Chapter Golf Professional of the Year.  In 2018 Mike and his family moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota where he is currently employed as the Head Golf Professional at Elkhorn Ridge Golf Club.  Mike has a passion for teaching junior golfers and has taught some of the top junior golfers in the state of Colorado and has helped coach many high school and collegiate golfers.

A fun and inviting atmosphere is the key to offering all levels of players an educational and helpful learning environment. Elkhorn Ridge’s practice facilities are an excellent place for any level of player to work on their skills featuring a double-ended driving range, two putting greens with green side and fairway practice bunkers, and multiple target greens.

Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Pending Payment

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Pending Membership Status

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Maximum Possible Purchase Price

Because you have selected a program with limited availability, or one that requires a skill assessment, an actual total cannot be calculated at this time. The maximum Possible Purchase Price assumes that you are registered for the listings (whether 1st or 2nd choice) with the greatest purchase price.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

Refund Protection

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
