Eligibility for Competitive Edge Camps

Must be currently playing competitive golf (i.e. participate on the high school team, junior tournaments, or other similar competition platforms)

Instructor

Dan Martin, PGA - Camp Director

Dan Martin is a Class "A" PGA Professional and the Director of Instruction at Rustic Canyon Golf Course. He has been coaching junior golfers for over 15 years. Dan is known as a “total-game” coach, specializing in helping his students develop focus, concentration, confidence, as well as solid golf technique. Dan has a unique ability to develop fun & engaging activities that make learning fun and provide deep and meaningful experiences. Many of Dan’s students now play collegiate golf at the University and Junior College level. In 2008, Dan was elected the SCPGA Northern Chapter Junior Golf Leader and in 2011, was selected as a Top 50 Kids Teacher by US Kids Golf.

We are excited to announce this new Competitive Edge program under the direction of Dan Martin, founder of the CA Junior Golf Academy Competitive Player Program. The program, based at Rustic Canyon Golf Course is dedicated to a complete golfer development experience for juniors pursuing high level competition and collegiate golf. The program makes use of the latest technology while still understanding that golf is a game best learned by extensive playing experiences and unique lesson programs fully engage and challenge participants to not just become technically proficient, but to become masters of the mental, physical, social and emotional parts of the game. Rustic Canyon is a strategic course for golfers who savor the discovery of a proper approach position on an expansive fairway to best attack the green depending on the pin location. In 2017, Rustic Canyon was ranked #6 in the state of California’s “BEST COURSES YOU CAN PLAY” list by Golf Weekly Magazine. The course conditions are always top notch and the greens are some of the largest & most undulating you will every play. The course is a great challenge for advanced players, yet playable enough that a new golfer can enjoy it! Camp Director, Dan Martin works daily with some of Southern California's top junior, college, and professional players. He has been named a US Kids Master Kids Teacher. Participants in the Competitive Edge Day Camps will have access to top technology, including Flightscope launch monitors to see the technical details of their golf swing. FocusBand can be used to hone and further sharpen the mental aspect of competitive golfers' approach to the sport. The camp will teach juniors advanced short game, bunker play and putting, as well as strategy and course management. The program is tailored to the needs of the advanced and elite player. Cancelation Policy

If your child is unable to attend the program after registering, you can apply the registration fee to a future PGA Camps program in the current or following year by calling 1-888-PGA-PLAY (742-7529). Refunds will only be given if you have registered through PGA Camps and purchased Refund Protection. If you registered through another organization, please contact the organization directly about their refund policy. PGA Camps does not pro-rate programs for missed camp days.

Pending Assessment

Your registration can not be processed until your child completes a skill assessment or the provider waives the skill assessment. Please contact as soon as possible to resolve this prerequisite. We will reserve your spot for five days. If the skill assessment has not been completed or waived within five days from your order, your reserved activity or camp selection will be automatically canceled.

Pending Approval

You have selected a program that has limited availability. We must confirm availability with the provider before completing your selection. This process will be completed within 48 hours. During the 48 hour period you will have a reserved spot in your selected listings (1st choice and 2nd choice). If your 1st choice is not available, the registration process will automatically proceed with your 2nd choice.

Your registration is pending payment. Payment will be processed within 48 hours and you will receive a receipt by email.

Pending Membership Status

Discount must be approved by provider. If provider does not approve discount, selection will be processed without the discount.

Maximum Possible Purchase Price

The maximum Possible Purchase Price assumes that you are registered for the listings (whether 1st or 2nd choice) with the greatest purchase price.

Brandon's Goal

Creates awareness and raises money to support the institutions, doctors and organizations that are working to seek better treatments for childhood cancer and to find a cure.

Refund Protection

For $10.00 per program, due at the time of registration, Refund Protection entitles you to a full refund of your registration if you cancel for any reason at least 2 weeks before the program start date.
