This isn't just any Golf Camp, it's the PGA Junior Golf Camp. Learn why the PGA instruction is best in class.
Timber Point, today a 27-hole facility owned and operated by Suffolk County, was once an 18-hole (and ultra-exclusive) gem regarded as one of the finest courses in the country. Six of its holes — a stretch that made up most of the original back nine — exist today in evolved form as part of Timber Point’s Blue Course, the bayside layout that features one of Long Island’s best and most breathtaking par-3s.
We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best.
Full Day camps (ages 10-16) provide an excellent opportunity for junior golfers to improve their technical skills as well as develop strong course management skills. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience level in order to create the most favorable learning environment possible. Lunch is provided for full day campers.
Half Day camps (ages 7-13) are designed to create in the ‘new junior golfer’ up through those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience level in order to create the most favorable learning environment possible. For three hours each day, campers learn or hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals and well as fun!
Advanced Golfer camps (ages 12-16) offer serious game improvement for the serious junior golfer. The camps concentrate on instruction which will take a campers game to the next level, with the emphasis on mental conditioning, course management, and the short game. By utilizing tournament-like conditions, campers are taught and tested on those skills identified as being mandatory to successfully compete at even the highest competitive junior golf levels. Stroke play, match play, and other like competitions are simulated each day with the end goal being true game improvement.
To be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. Our promise–is to support, encourage, and respect each and every one of our campers and authentically inspire them to reach their full potential, both on and off the golf course.
Ed has been helping players of all ages and ability levels to improve their games for more than 25 years. One of Ed’s greatest assets as an instructor is his ability to personally connect with students and communicate points clearly and effectively. He is patient and versatile, emphasizes simple over complicated, with a focus on solid fundamentals. Ed has had the good fortune to be personally instructed by some of the best teachers in golf and has incorporated these different influences into his own teaching style. As a father of three, Ed particularly enjoys working with junior golfers to bring their skills and understanding to the next level in this wonderful game. Ed has been a part of the Met PGA section competitive golf scene since childhood and has competed at the junior, amateur, collegiate and professional levels on a local, regional and national basis. He’s had the opportunity to compete with some of the game’s finest players, and the privilege to play a number of the best courses in the world. He enjoys passing these experiences along to his students.
