This isn't just any Golf Camp, it's the PGA Junior Golf Camp. Learn why the PGA instruction is best in class.
Tucked into the hills, Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course offers a unique experience with a challenging par 3 golf course. The facility also boasts a driving range and putting green, providing a perfect place for the young golfer to hone their golf swing.
We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best.
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!
Full Day Camps provide an opportunity for junior golfers to continue to improve their skills as well as develop better course management expertise. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their ability level and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. Following lunch, campers head to the course for supervised play emphasizing course management, shot selection and rules.
To be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. Our promise–is to support, encourage, and respect each and every one of our campers and authentically inspire them to reach their full potential, both on and off the golf course.
Gena Dells, General Manager of Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course is a North County native who played the course as a teen and has a strong commitment to bringing a new generation of players into the game. A member of the PGA, Gena is the first woman to hold the top job at Rancho Carlsbad and one of only a few women managing golf courses across Southern California. Dells started playing golf when she was 11. She first teed off on the Carlsbad course in a school junior tournament. Through high school she played in tournaments across San Diego County, winning many of them. She enjoyed the experience so much that she stayed in the game and made golf a part of her life.
Dells grew up in Vista, where she played golf for Tri-City Christian School. She graduated from California State University Long Beach on a full golf scholarship, then worked as an instructor and manager at golf courses in Fallbrook and Temecula before joining the staff at Rancho Carlsbad. Dells feels that camp is a great way to introduce young people to the sport, it teaches them the fundamentals of the game, as well as life and character skills such as good sportsmanship.
Please Note: Camp price does not include an annual, one-time, non-refundable registration fee.
