This isn't just any Golf Camp, it's the PGA Junior Golf Camp. Learn why the PGA instruction is best in class.
The course features bent grass greens, tree-lined Bermuda fairways, and a rolling terrain that offers a fair challenge to golfers of all ages and skill levels. A combination of true southern character and charm. Young golfers can hone their new skills at Eagle Point Golf Club’s exceptional lighted driving range and chipping area.
We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best.
Half Day Camps (ages 7-14) are designed to create in the “new junior golfer” up through those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience level in order to create the most favorable learning environment possible. For three hours each day, campers learn or hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals and well as fun!
To be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. Our promise–is to support, encourage, and respect each and every one of our campers and authentically inspire them to reach their full potential, both on and off the golf course.
Junior golf program at Eagle Point is led by Patrick Oropallo, who has been an Assistant Professional at Eagle Point Golf Club since December of 2005. Oropallo’s career highlights include successfully qualifying for the Oregon Amateur Championship and a competitve low round of 68 at the United States Amateur Qualifier in 2006. Recently, Oropallo attended the 2008 Pacific Northwest PGA’s Playing and Teaching Workshop held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort.
Oropallo’s teaching philosophy is straightforward: “To play the game consistently, a player must acquire golf’s essential techniques. My goal is to teach these fundamentals in the most uncomplicated and efficient way that I can. Oropallo approaches teaching with enthusiasm, patience and thoughtfulness.
Oropallo is determined to teach interested junior golfers in a way he was never taught. He teaches them to strive for more balance in their lives and in their dedication to golf. “I tell them to practice no more than once a week, but when they do practice, to practice well, with attention to, and a purpose for, every ball in the bucket,” says Patrick in his trademark soft, personal tone.
