This isn't just any Golf Camp, it's the PGA Junior Golf Camp. Learn why the PGA instruction is best in class.
By 1970 McCollum had acquired the entire parcel that became Canyon Springs and hired young Max Mueller to design his first golf course in 1973. In 1987 a second nine, designed by Bob Baldock, was added to Canyon Springs. Canyon Springs has won numerous awards from opening day, including being voted annually the best course in the region by consumer polls and has hosted many tournaments and state championships such as the Idaho Amateur. The spectacular and rugged beauty of the Snake River Canyon has always attracted awed visitors since it was first discovered by early explorers and as Canyon Springs evolved, golfers began to appreciate how perfect the gently undulating, easily-walked, sand-based, terrain is for golf. The vision of sharing this lovely land with the world began with I.B. Perrine, continued with Joe, and has passed down to the McCollum family. It’s a special place. Enjoy it.
We have camps for all age groups and abilities, and our best-in-class PGA instruction ensures your child learns from the best.
Half Day Camps are designed to inspire new golfers and further the development of those playing at an intermediate level. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age in order to create a favorable learning environment. For three hours each day, campers learn and hone their skills with a strong emphasis placed on golf’s fundamentals while having fun!
To be the best, you must learn from the best. That’s why every junior golf camp instructor has been trained and tested in all aspects of the game by the PGA of America. Our promise–is to support, encourage, and respect each and every one of our campers and authentically inspire them to reach their full potential, both on and off the golf course.
Zach Abels has been a PGA Class A professional since 2014. Zach has been teaching at Canyon Springs for 8 years and taught almost 400 kids in junior programs at Canyon Springs last year. He played at Montana State University-Billings and qualified for National Assistants Championship and 2 PGA Professional Championships. In 2016, he was awarded Rocky Mountain PGA Jr Golf Leader. He just can’t imagine waking up and doing anything else!
